AI Property Buyer Platform

An AI-powered property buyer assistant designed for the Australian real-estate market.

The product helps buyers define what they want, receive relevant property matches, prepare for inspections and maintain continuity across their buying journey.

Client identity withheld due to confidentiality.

Context

Property buying is fragmented. Buyers move across portals, emails, notes, agent messages, inspection schedules, finance conversations, saved listings and personal preference lists. The product aimed to create a more connected buyer experience.

The challenge

The platform needed to understand both explicit and evolving buyer needs. A buyer may start with "three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a budget", but real preferences are more nuanced — lifestyle, commute, schools, condition, timeline, finance status and inspection feedback. The challenge was a system that remembers context and improves recommendations over time.

Design approach

Conversational but structured

AI interaction should feel natural, but important information must be stored in a structured way.

Progressive onboarding

Don't ask every possible question at once.

Persistent context

The buyer should not need to repeat information.

Actionable intelligence

AI should help buyers decide and act, not only answer questions.

Complexity

  • AI + structured data

  • Mobile-first product
  • Long purchase lifecycle
  • Multiple external partners
